Kitn’s Krafty Paws: Soft Gift Owl Toy

Kitn's Krafty Paws Posted by Kitn No Comments »

So I haven’t quite finished that article I mentioned in the last babble post, so to keep up with the day I’m tossing in a Krafty Paws craft (haven’t seen that in a while, have you?).

Hit the jump and have a gander at some bigger pictures of the fella.

A Short Vacation Into Hello Kitty Online’s Founder’s Beta

MMO Posted by Kitn No Comments »

When the Hello Kitty Online beta first came around, I jumped at the chance to play in a pastel world, making a goofy hello kitty movie pleading for me to be chosen.  I guess I wasn’t a pretty enough princess, because I never did get in at the first go, though through another site’s sign up, I was finally able to wrangle my way in to give it a shot.

Sometimes you can only play against so many orcs ,elves, dragons, and whatnot before you want a change of pace, and HKO is certainly that, for better or for worse.

When I first tried the beta, I found it an incredibly long grind full of saccharine sweet characters and places.  I probably would have slogged my way through the grind had it not been for a bug that ended up getting me stuck in between the blackness and a doorway, sealing my poor character’s fate.  When she got stuck and I couldn’t get a GM to unstick her for days, I uninstalled and went my merry way, leaving the poor girl in a pixelated abyss.

Now, I don’t remember when the Founder’s Beta came up, but I vaguely remember signing up for it on a whim.  If you manage to do something-something, it meant you got your name cemented somewhere in the world as a testament to your love for Sanrio and friends.  Now, I didn’t end up doing much during my short stay (seeing as by the time I got around to installing it there were only three days till the beta went down), but here’s a smallish review of my time spent playing for the day-ish.

Back To The Week - A Babbling Update

Babbles Posted by Kitn No Comments »

All right, so you’ve probably noticed by now (if you actually check up on the place) that its been quiet over the weekend.  Its been pretty hectic, and since Yeti has a new job that takes him farther from home and longer to get back, every weekend we’re together is a weekend we take to ourselves.

Anyhoo, this past week had a lot of activity.  Apart from some awesome fireworks on the 5th of november, there was Rememberance Day being celebrated on Sunday, coupled with a practice Christmas dinner that was most delicious.  A trip to CostCo on Saturday (which is an hourish or more away), and you can see why the blogs weren’t being written.

Still, no worries, I have a couple articles swimming in my head that should be popping up in the next day or so.  For now, just keep practicing those clear tape tutorials and nabbing some freebie wallpapers, and I’ll get back to you.  ^^

Wallpaper Art: Legend of Golden Plume (4)

Wallpaper Art Posted by Kitn No Comments »

Another day of laziness to blog, so another wallpaper art to be thrown in the fray.  Yesterday was the 5th of November, which had little meaning to me till I moved to the UK.  I’ll have to blog about it some time later.

Anyhoo, here’s two LGP wallpapers I made long ago as a fan of the game when they first came out.  They might start looking a little familiar since I gave the go ahead for them to be used by the admin overseer of the game for promotion.  Give Legend of Golden Plume a looksee.  There’s been a couple of changes since I last got a chance to get back into the game.

(Mind you, unless otherwise specified, none of the artwork is mine and are owned by their respective game companies and whatnot. Only the manipulation of them into wallpapers for public use are mine and should you like them, feel free to give me credit in at least that.  All artwork is usually 1024 x 768 unless otherwise specified or requested.)

Also, if there are fansite images you want to have a crack at me making into some kind of wallpaper with, feel free to comment and I’ll see about giving it a try.

Little Big Surprise

Games Posted by Kitn No Comments »

All right, so today was a day of Little Big surprises, both good and bad.  I’ll get the bad out of the way.  I somehow misplaced the PS3 controller.  Luckily, we got some two-controller deal when we first bought the thing, and double luckily, the dual shock version wasn’t the one misplaced.  It was the regular six-axis that came with the system.  Still, I’m pretty irate cause I know it’s somewhere in our lil’ room and I can’t for the life of me find which nook it decided to hide in.  It also irritates me because I want to play with Yeti dangit!

Ah well.. Onto happier surprises!

New Gallery Section: Warcraft - Scenic Screenshots

MMO Posted by Kitn No Comments »

All right, so I got lazy with the Wrath Beta screenshots.  But to make up for it, I’m going back to screenshotting environments in games and sticking it in a gallery for you to look through.  I lost a lot of good old ones, but I managed to find a few more recent shots.  I used to do it back in Final Fantasy Online (which will make for another gallery as soon as I find the old screenshots), and figured it wouldn’t hurt to start it up again.  The images are downgraded a bit to save on upload space (seeing as we don’t make anything off this site anyhoo).  I’ll try to keep it updated every so often… maybe…  well, we’ll see ^^

So go on, take a look at Warcraft: Scenic Screenshots and look out for other gallery sections as they pop up.

The Creepy Contemplation: Grave Robbing Heroes

Babbles, Games Posted by Kitn 1 Comment »

As I was playing WoW, a random thought came into my head.  It all started simple enough, I was going through the usual routine of taking out the ‘bad guys’, going through the usual task of playing heroine to a random NPC in need of assistance.  “Slay so-and-so to find this random doo-hickey, and you shall have your reward!”  So, off I went in pursuit of said evil-doer, and after finding him, I called upon god’s holy wrath (I’m a priest, I like to pretend I can command the game’s holy beings to beat stuff up for me since I’m lousy at doing it myself) to do my bidding and smite the fiend.  Down went his body, like a wet sack, after my heavenly bashing, and as my character approached the body and knelt to frisk him, the random thought came into my head:

“Ew, I’m a grave robber.”

Co-Op Costume Ideas: More Players, More Candy, More Fun!

Games Posted by Kitn No Comments »

So I was wracking my brain trying to think of some kind of Halloween article to write up.  I’ve got stuff stored away for one idea, but figured I’d go with this new one: Co-Op Costume Ideas!  Dressing up as your favorite video game character is fun, but the real joy is conning convincing the rest of your friends to join in with you!

Of course, there’s dozens of characters to choose from when it comes to video game characters, so here’s a small sampling of those you could choose from.  Also, these suggestions are of characters that only work together in video games (so work together for good sweet loot and photo ops!).

Rambley Mewsings

Babbles, Programming Posted by Kitn No Comments »

All righty, so its been a while since we’ve updated, but never fret, I’ll find more weird or babbley things to talk about.  After the giant spike in visits with the brief tutorial I splashed together, we decided to slow things down a bit just in case the service provider decided to crap out on us.  I’m sure we’re nowhere near a digg effect, but we just wanted to make sure.

Besides, the ole Yeti had a week off before starting up on his new job, so we’ve made the most of our time spent together (or cursing at another Witchband drop from HH).  With Yeti kicking it off at his new job tomorrow, he’ll be working later hours, which leaves me time to try and cobble together something interesting for you to mull over.  So thanks for stopping by!
