I made a resolution on Kotaku to start trying to learn how to do more game crafts to keep my paws busy.  I’ve begun dabbling in practically everything save for game cakes (because we don’t need food poisoning here).  From felt sewing to learning how to crochet, and eventually I’ll get around to the cross-stitching, I’ve tried to learn a little bit of it all and tried to make things game related and not.

My first foray into crafting is this lil’ cutie, a Chocobo Tales bookmark.  Made with the official wallpaper as inspiration, I practically free-handed a majority of work, and guessed the parts of sewing where I couldn’t find a decent tutorial.

Anyhoo, at first, he wasn’t supposed to have ended up as a bookmark, but I had no idea what to do with the bitty felt face, till I saw a piece of cardboard backing from some random store-bought item we had lying in our mess of a room.  I managed to stuff the flimsy cardboard into the felt bit I had, and voila.

Ironically, I don’t use bookmarks (I tend to just dogear the corner pages of my books, unless they’re favorite books, then I just try to remember what page I’m on).  The lil’ fella is stashed somewhere on our pile of junk atop the computer table.

Eventually, like all random crafters out there, I wanna sell some of the junk I make to anyone willing to pay for it and the shipping.  So if there’s a want for the items I mention that I wouldn’t mind parting with on Kitn’s Krafty Paws, feel free to comment that you’d be interested in buying (like this warky bookmark here).

Wark!
