Little Big Surprise

All right, so today was a day of Little Big surprises, both good and bad. I’ll get the bad out of the way. I somehow misplaced the PS3 controller. Luckily, we got some two-controller deal when we first bought the thing, and double luckily, the dual shock version wasn’t the one misplaced. It was the regular six-axis that came with the system. Still, I’m pretty irate cause I know it’s somewhere in our lil’ room and I can’t for the life of me find which nook it decided to hide in. It also irritates me because I want to play with Yeti dangit!
Ah well.. Onto happier surprises!
The first being that our Little Big Planet game finally came in today. It’s actually earlier than we thought we’d get it, seeing as Play.com’s site has it available on the 5th. Big props to them for being ahead of the game when it came down to it (seeing as the game was really just pushed back because of that crazy music controversy). That’s some good service!
Another surprise to note, I had joined LittleBigPlanet.com’s (US) art challenge (using images from their fansite kit), creating some backgrounds and avatars to see if any would get picked to be a featured downloadable on the site. Unfortunately, none of my backgrounds got picked (and being biased, I was rather fond of them), but interestingly enough, one of my icons did get chosen. It’s not even one of the avatars I liked, ironically, I was more fond of my cardboard versions, but hey, beggars can’t be choosers, and those chosen can’t be QQing, so thanks to those that picked one of my ideas, regardless. As for the rest of the creations that didn’t make it, you can find them on our Flickr page (this challenge was the only reason I made one considering I don’t really use Flickr), or check back here for when I eventually post it in an article or our gallery. Go ahead and check it out, give me a reason to go back and check there every so often to see if someone’s actually looking at the darned thing.
