Hey hey, its been a while since I’ve added Wallpaper Art, and considering that it’s one of the more popular sections of this site, might as well throw in a new one.  Like, actually new.  Made today new even!  Okay.. so I used an old template from a previous wallpaper art, but with good reason!  I found out Florensia finally added some decent updates to their website in terms of the multimedia section, and after so long without playing, found out there’s actual second classes implemented for the jobs.  So, the new wallpaper includes art from those new classes!

As usual, here’s the disclaimer:

(Mind you, unless otherwise specified, none of the artwork is mine and are owned by their respective game companies and whatnot.  Only the manipulation of them into wallpapers for public use are mine and should you like them, feel free to give me credit in at least that.  All artwork is usually 1024 x 768 unless otherwise specified or requested.)

Also, if there are fansite images you want to have a crack at me making into some kind of wallpaper with, feel free to comment and I’ll see about giving it a try.

Piccy after the break!

All right, so yesterday was Pancake Day, a day I never knew existed till after I moved here to the UK to be with the Yeti.  It’s a most awesome of days where you get to eat pancakes.  I know there’s a whole background as to why you eat it on this day (something about Shrove Tuesday), but you know where the Wiki is, so I’m not gonna get into any nitty gritty details.  But, I will tell you, the pancakes I knew back in the US aren’t the same pancakes they have here in the UK.

All right, I’ve been a lazy cow-tn.  I know I haven’t been doing any articles for some time now, and I aim to make up for it… er, eventually.  It’s not a matter of just not knowing what to write, as usual, it’s that lack of motivation to get the pictures, write down the sources, you know.. all the meticulous little details that I tend to want to include in a post that makes it ridiculously long-winded.  But that’s just how I am.  I can’t do it halfway… well, okay, except for today’s rambles, so at least I’ll have put up something.

Anyhoo, today’s rambles will have a condensed version of stuff I’ve wanted to publish and just haven’t gotten around to, or things that have kept me busy enough to not want to blog.  If you’re lucky and I get my tail on it, you’ll find a longer, more detailed article (or if you comment… yes, I’m still fishing for comments.  It’s like pulling teeth from a stone if it had any to get people to comment something that’s not a medicinal aid or selling me something I wouldn’t ever buy in the first place.  I’m looking at you triple X junk!).

Hurray for Friday! a whole weekend with the Kitn!  Nothing much really to blog about other than there are some in the pipe work.  We have been busy with a paying project of late but sure enough there will be some posts coming!

So for today I leave you with a handy VBS script for removing network printers from a machine.  Handy for cleaning up with either a logon or logoff script.  Enjoy!

strComputer = "."

Set objWMIService = GetObject("winmgmts:\\" & strComputer & "\root\cimv2")

Set colInstalledPrinters = objWMIService.ExecQuery _
("Select * From Win32_Printer Where Network = True")

For Each objPrinter in colInstalledPrinters
objPrinter.Delete_

Custom USB Icon

Work decided to toss me a 16GB flash drive to store all my little worky bits on and stuff.  I decided looking at the standard Kingston in my computer wasn’t good enough!

So here we go, and all it takes is one little file.  Or two if you want to show a picture (icon).  The good old autorun.inf file (which sits in the root of your drive).

Sounds good ? if so, read on! if not then I am sorry :P

RAAAAAAA!Wooo Weee! I made my first level 80 and it took me a while.  Turned out to be a mage rather than any of my other characters which were already 70 when the expansion hit.  Along my way to 80 I did plenty of quests, and some actually stood out more than others.  Just shows they did actually put some thought into this expansion (although there was the same old kill-this kill-that quests).

One of the more memorable quest was the one which had me getting to ride on a giant’s shoulder and go HULK SMASH! on the little mobs all around, which was barrels of fun!  Thats me! The lil’ troll taking 5 on a giant’s shoulder while he bashes stuff with that hammer… good times!

I did also find a mob whilst questing around K3 which, as you can tell, I took a liking to and decided it was worthy of showing in a post!

Since I hit 80 I have been running around like a headless chicken just pretty much doing anything and everything I can!  I’ve been an avid Wintergrasp participant, along with other battlegrounds to scrounge up as much honor as possible to upgrade my gears.

I must admit its not all been fun and games.  As being a newly level 80 mage, pulling my weight in a battleground or dungeon can get difficult.  But as my gear is getting a little better here and there, so too does my spell power slowly rise and I am noticing that I am doing that little extra damage here and there.

Its also been great doing the achievement for killing the 4 faction leaders and getting my Black War Bear!  I actually did this this morning, which was all so fun.  Even though there was plenty of waiting… and lagging out no thanks to my computer.

thumbnail1All right, so I’ve been bouncing in and out of HBO and there’s a couple extra things I either left out, or only recently found out from my initial review.  I haven’t exactly been playing the game 24/7, so I’m not sure about anything beyond the current level I’m at (I definitely don’t want to burn out on the game like what happened with me and Florensia, early on).  Still, there are a few things I did end up finding out that I may have missed and came back to tell you, just in case you actually read this to check up on these MMO’s I dabble in!

WiFiFoFumIf anything, I like this app just for its name!  It just sounds cool!

Right, back on track!   This is one of those apps I like to have on my windows mobile device and works on WM5 too.  As long as you have Wi-Fi this little app will scan for all wireless networks and keep track of all those it found on your travels.  The nice little feature about this is that you can filter out wireless networks which have encryption on them.  What this all means is that you can look out for those wide open wireless networks and happily surf the internet, especially if you’re on the move in areas where you’re unsure if there are networks available!

I found this application useful just for the fact it showed signal strength (I know from personal use) when tracing some access points at work and seeing the local wireless networks at home.  It’s kinda neat to see how many you can pick up while walking to the store!
