So Mountain Dew is supposed to be doing a special promotion with Blizzard using the Mountain Dew Game Fuel drinks. There’s special prizes to be given away and talk of a special in-game pet.
Well, I went there to check today, and there was a countdown. I managed to pop in later when the countdown was about to finish and was treated to this fail sight:
Yeah… looks like someone’s getting fired. That, or someone needs to brush up on their site programming skills again. Ah well, guess it’s the waiting game to see what the whole deal is about seeing as they don’t sell those drinks (as far as I know) around our neck of the woods.

Did a refresh and got treated to this new sight:
I imagine the site master scrambling around, screams of wtf and omfg streaming from his/her lips. At least I hope so… makes for a funnier thought.

Looks like they managed to get a few more links up. They seem to have underestimated how rabid WoW players get when it comes to in-game pets or merchandise…

Don’t think this is quite how the register page should look like… but then again, I stopped caring. Us EU people get arsed out again. Meh.

Check out the General > Description of your first forum. The admin on the inside is scrambling to make topics. They got about five now, at least.

Hurray, think all is finally well now in the land of mountaindewfuel-ville! Although, I don’t see a sign of that robot pet that was mentioned to me before… looks like I’ll have to keep my eye out for it then. Ah well…

About that pet… I don’t see it in the prize link, but I saw a mention of it in the Faq, saying that in order for one to obtain the pet, they’d have to have a WoW subscription… hmm, I may have to register after all if that’s the case. I don’t care much about not getting the merchandise, but I would definitely like the pet at the very least. I’ve got a US version anyhow, worth a shot, right?
9th Update -
Looks like the tokens bit where you gain tokens to watch videos isn’t quite working or updating properly. I also haven’t gotten the product page one to work. It credits me the tokens in the account history section, but the token count remains at some generic 123 number. Yikes!
Man… the things I go through for a chance at pets… this little guy better be worth it.

My bad.. counter/Tokens work.. but you have to refresh the page to get it to update. Still pretty half-baked, but working. Where’s my pet?!
