About a week ago the Kitn and I took the plunge and beamed on over to another server running as fast as we can away from the PvP server.

So far everything is spiffy with lots of nice people and no worries about ganking!  The only regret is missing the friends who are back there.  But you never know they might make their way on over (you know you want to if any of you are reading this).

The only downfall about moving is the cost… $25 a pop! so for now it’s been the bare minimum of characters I want ready for the expansion.  Otherwise I would have been looking at $150+ to move over my 70’s.

If anyone out there doesn’t know the process of transferring a character it’s actually quite easy and simple.  It has a few easy steps to follow which includes selecting your character, selecting the target realm, giving your payment info, and finally waiting for it to be approved.  As far as I can guess this is the only part which isn’t automated? As soon as someone lets it through you just have to confirm and BOOM! it’s done!  The only part in which you have to wait is just to be approved.  Which also makes me wonder why it is so expensive!

Anyhoo don’t be scared off of the whole transfer thing, it was quite painless I must say and it was all done in less than a hour!

While looking through a dvd sale over at Play.com, I thought I would just check to see if they had anything on Diablo 3 yet.  Much to my surprise, there it was!

It’s already up for pre-order with a Due for release on 27/03/2009 spouting off a price of £24.99 which isn’t too bad to be honest (around $50 US for those state side).

But don’t take that date as set in stone as we all know how dates always get pushed back.  Although it would be nice to see D3 around the 2nd quarter of ‘09.  This would make sense as Blizzard would want to push WotLK, which play also advertises as being released on 26/09/2008.  This would give a good few months and christmas to get WotLK out there before getting D3 on the market.  Either way you look at it, the end of this year and the start of the next should be a interesting time for gamers.
